"I'll just lie..." - The Murder of Stephanie Crowe

"I'll just lie..." - The Murder of Stephanie Crowe

On this episode of WOC I'm telling Russ the type of case I've been avoiding for a long time. See, I know how Russ thinks and I know when it comes to false confessions he is extremely close minded and quick to judge. I went into this conversation knowing that his opinion will probably annoy me but also hopeful that he might actually learn something, and to my surprise I think he actually, kind of did :) Moral of this story... "if cops try to question you for a crime you didn't commit tell them SMD I need a lawyer!" - Russ and the entire Bronx

A Real Head Scratcher - Cynthia Anderson

On this week's episode of Wife of Crime I'm telling Russ about the mysterious disappearance of Cynthia Anderson. Cindy was a young girl with her whole life ahead of her. She just put in her 2 week notice at her job at a law firm because she was heading off to college. Just 10 days before she was due to leave she completely disappeared. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance were incredibly bizarre and still leave everyone scratching their heads some 40 years later. Moral of this story... if someone is stalking you tell everyone you know all about it.

Crime and Comedy Collide

Wife of Crime" is hands down my favorite true crime podcast. Hosted by the fantastic duo, Jess and Russ, it offers a perfect blend of thorough storytelling and infectious humor. Jess dives deep into each crime story, providing detailed and engaging accounts that keep me hooked from start to finish. Her research is impeccable, ensuring that I’m always well-informed about each case.

What sets this podcast apart, however, is Russ. His hilarious take on the stories and his vibrant New York accent make me laugh out loud—a rarity for me with podcasts. Russ’s comedic relief is the perfect counterbalance to the often dark and intense subject matter, making the podcast not just informative but also incredibly enjoyable.

The chemistry between Jess and Russ is undeniable, making every episode feel like an enjoyable chat with good friends. Their contrasting yet complementary styles make for a podcast experience that’s both unique and addictive.

I eagerly anticipate each new episode of "Wife of Crime" and cannot recommend it enough to fellow true crime fans who enjoy a good laugh along the way. Jess and Russ truly are the perfect podcasting duo!

Stop trying to make hashtag a thing

I’m a 911 dispatcher in Western Kentucky and I solemnly swore not to write a review until I finished binging every episode of your podcast. I listen to y’all every day to and from work, and have found myself listening to your podcast between calls at work just to finish the episode. Your podcast is the very best one I have ever listened to and I have to admit when I first started it, I really didn’t think I could put up with Russ this long. But just like Russ says, he really does grow on you like mold… Jess, you have excellent storytelling skills and compassion for the victims. I also think it’s necessary to add that as a 22 year old, we don’t really use “hashtag” anymore. Everytime y’all use hashtag I can’t help but think #OldFart. Love your pod and Jess thanks for all the hard work that goes into researching these cases!
