Today on the feast day of St. Catherine of Siena, Mary and Lauretta speak on women influencers in the Church and the world: St. Catherine of Sienna,  Dr. Elvira Parravicini and Maria Vadia.  They also discussed and requested prayer for the murder of Chicago Police Officer Luis Huesca, campus protests and peace in the Middle East.

Mary and Lauretta discuss the new Planned Parenthood annual report with Professor Michael New of Catholic University.
 
Planned Parenthood performed a record 392,715 abortions in 2023, and increase of over 5 percent from 2022.
 
There were declines in many health services. Planned Parenthood did 31% fewer preventive care visits, 13.5% fewer pap tests, 4.5% fewer adoption referrals, and 1.4% fewer cancer screenings.
 
This is consistent with long-term trends. Since 2013, Planned Parenthood has performed 20% more abortions while providing 58.6% fewer cancer screenings and 67.6% fewer prenatal services down 67.6%.
 
Despite this, Planned Parenthood continues to receive more and more taxpayer dollars. In 2023, they received 699.3 million dollars in government grants and reimbursements -- a 4.3% increase from 2022.
