    • Business

Do you want to write a book and need help figuring out where to start?
In this episode, I'm talking with four women from different backgrounds, missions, walks of life, and stages in their writing journey who realized their message was worth sharing. Regan Macaulay, Dr. Stacey Francis, Dr. Brooke Scheller, and Gillian Wagner discuss their methods, challenges, and lessons learned in writing and publishing their books.
Regan Macaulay is a Multi-award-winning Author of novels, children's books, short stories, and scripts. She is also a producer and director of theatre, film, and TV and a certified canine and feline massage therapist.
Dr. Stacey Francis is a Chiropractic Kinesiologist and Functional Medicine Practitioner with over 30 years of experience helping young and old males and females, but mostly women in their midlives with fatigue and GI issues. She is the author of the Amazon #1 bestselling book The Supercharged Method.
Dr. Brooke Scheller is a doctor of Clinical Nutrition who specializes in helping people change their relationship with alcohol. She authored "How to Eat to Change How You Drink," which trended at the top of its category and hit the bestseller list in its first week of publication.
Gillian Wagner has been in the wellness industry for over three decades and is tiptoeing into naturopathy, inspired by Dr. Brooke. She created two yoga DVDs; one was particularly successful in Germany, and a streaming platform picked up the other. She has been working on her book tirelessly for the last year.
Throughout this episode, you'll hear about their different approaches to writing, their thoughts on opting for self-publishing, publisher, or hybrid route, and marketing their books. You'll also hear their advice (especially for non-fiction books) on dealing with naysayers, haters, and people who disagree with what's written, how to deal with the feeling of knowing once the book is on the shelf is out of our control, and how to pitch an agent.
Additionally, they share tips and advice for beginner writers, how to deal with outside feedback, the importance of getting someone to keep us accountable, and much more.
Tune in to episode 127 to discover how to overcome the challenges that keep you from writing a book.
