Jesse Gittler, Sales Development Leader & Coach

Jesse Gittler, Sales Development Leader & Coach

This episode, I met with Jesse Gittler, a Sales Development Leader & Coach who was most recently at PatientPop out of the LA area.

Jesse has a compelling story about his start in sales, which included some failure, but also some inspiring determination and personal growth.

We chat about what's really important in a job (spoiler, it's not cash) and how his early job experiences have shaped how he approaches leadership.

Thanks again for listening and I hope you enjoy!

    Simon Chou, Chief Marketing Officer

    Simon Chou, Chief Marketing Officer

Simon Chou keeps himself pretty busy. He's the CMO for vcjobs.ca, which is a Vancouver, Canada -based job board website, but also hosts a couple podcast shows and leads a couple communities of other like-minded people.

On Marketing on Mars, Simon asks other marketing leaders tough questions - if they can't answer them, he'll makes them take a shot of hot sauce. On the Innovators podcast, they interview hiring managers about job application best practices and about their own personal career experiences.

Here's where you can connect with Simon and follow what he's working on:

    Matthew Hsu, Radiation Therapist

    Matthew Hsu, Radiation Therapist

This episode, I'm chatting with one of my best friends from high school, Matthew Hsu.

He's a Radiation Therapist, which means he works with cancer patients who are going through chemotherapy. It's heavy stuff and I wasn't expecting some of it honestly.

We chat about some of the ways AI might affect the health care industry and how physically and emotionally draining a career in healthcare can be in general.

I always enjoy chatting with Matt about life in general. He's one of those people I only get to see a few times a year if I'm lucky, but we pick up right where we left off every time.

Thanks again for listening and I hope you enjoy!

Preston Rodman, Large Enterprise Account Executive

Preston Rodman, Large Enterprise Account Executive

On this episode I caught up with a good friend and former colleague of mine, Preston Rodman.

He's a sales rep that works with large enterprises and we know each other after working on the same sales team several years ago.

He holds a special place in my own career journey because the first closed/won deal that I sourced as an SDR was closed by him way back in 2017.

It was at that moment I realized I could actually be successful and might a future in this world of B2B SaaS

I remember thanking him for closing the deal like a total noob and I'll never forget what he said after.

He said he should be the one thanking me for setting up the meeting and making sure he was put in a good position to work the deal

I always love chatting w/ him about work and this time is no different.

We talk about his initial career aspirations of being a dentist, how his time in college was a bit bumpy and we go through his progression in sales at different startups.

Thanks again for listening and I hope you enjoy!
