S1|E3: hold up. they seriously killed ____?

"With Iris in the clutches of the super cool and definitely not evil Citizen Scorn (who’s also extremely handsome), it’s up to that loser Dash & his loser friends to save her. But, let's be real, she doesn’t really need saving because Scorn is such a chill dude. Meanwhile Niko definitely has a subplot, but it doesn’t involve Citizen Scorn so who cares amiright?" - transcendent synopsis by Citizen Scorn

With Citizen Scorn having murdered his father — and his brother — and idk probably his dog or something — Dash finally decides to take revenge. But first he'll have to convince the new head of Sky Brother Force, Major Cragg (Chris Sabat), that he's not just some trust-fund baby. Which, let's be real here, he definitely is. S1|E5: Bigger than Coglio Mandros

With Night Tiger on the brink of pop super-stardom, a burnt-out Dash decides to leave the group for like a meditation retreat or something I forget. Meanwhile, something's rotten at the Sky Brother Force: Force Headquarters, and Hiro & Iris decide to investigate. I honestly don't know what happened to Niko & Jax in this episode; I didn't even realize they were completely missing until I was listening tonight at 12:30am. There's a lot of them in episode 6 though, so don't you worry. I ...

You're not gonna wanna miss this one bruh. I really, really wanna tell you all about it — but then this summary would just be covered in spoilers. Spoilers absolutely everywhere. It'd be disgusting. And once you get spoilers on something, they're nearly impossible to get out. Let's just say: this episode is almost as good as Morbius. Almost.

Fun, Funny, & Deeply Stupid

Sky Brother Force is a narrative podcast that is aggressively anime-inspired. It feels like you’re listening to a combination of Speed Racer, Naruto, and Excel Saga (and also the myriad other late 90’s, early 00’s comedy anime series that were just a little on the cheap side).

It’s very slick, excellently produced, and the performances are all varying degrees of amazing. The story is surprisingly dark and isn’t super appropriate for little ones but tweens and up will get a kick out of it. Oh, and like the title says, it’s fun—the episodes are a brisk <30 minutes—very funny and the jokes are at times deeply stupid but in a wonderful way.

This feels like a lot of love and care was poured into it but with the production of a Wondery or Campside Media property. I’d love to see this get actually animated!!

So great!

Love this! Now I can enjoy anime all the time even in the car or while I work and clean! The voices are great and I love the intro and outro music. The dialogue is very well done giving you the right amount of information to visualize what’s going on and doesn’t over do it. Looking forward to more episodes!

Came for the Space, stayed for the Beast Gauchos

Listen to this show. Even if you don’t like anime, listen to this show. It is funny and overtop and insane in all the best ways. And the productions values are off the charts. One of the best sound designed narrative podcasts out there, and the theme song slaps. Apple only let me give it five but I’d give it all the stars in the galaxy.
