Who is a Christian? - God’s Redemption of Humanity | Understanding the EndTimes, series

    Transforming Perspectives |
A Christian or simply a believer is anyone who believes Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Messiah, a confession of faith enabled by the transformation of one’s heart through the enlightenment of the One and True Living GOD.
Contrarily, the identity of a Christian is neither recognized by the outward appearances such as wearing a certain attire, emblem nor frequency of church attendance nor the ability to recite scriptures.
Simply, a believer or a Christian stands on the truths of Scriptures in the Holy Bible accepting God’s Grace by faith in a relationship with God in Jesus Christ, becoming his disciple connoting a learner.
The gospel accounts shares trials or testing  of faith experienced by Jesus’ disciples  as testaments to  similar struggles of faith believers will encounter, today.
Notably, Jesus the risen Christ showed his wounds to Thomas who doubted,  so to increase his faith and dispel his doubts.  Jesus stopped Paul, then a Jew named Saul from persecuting Christians so that he may become a bold witness of faith while suffering.  Furthermore, Jesus knowing Peter’s weaknesses asked him to confirm his faith, by asking “Who do you say I am?” then proclaimed he would become the foundation of His church.

    Biblical Principle |
Confess the LORD Jesus Christ and become a learner of him being made conformed in his image.
Matthew 11:27-29 - All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
    Scriptural References |
    Becoming a Believer - Matthew Chapter 11.
Doctrine of Faith - Romans Chapter 5.

The Tribulation not the Great Tribulation | Understanding the EndTimes, series

The Tribulation not the Great Tribulation | Understanding the EndTimes, series

    Transforming Perspectives |
After Jesus’s death, resurrection and ascension unto heaven, an angel appeared before several disciples who were standing gazing up at the sky and asked, “Why are you still standing gazing up?”
During any period of uncertainty or distress many are stilled in silence.  The event of Jesus’s ascension marked three significant changes in the chronology of the age. The first,  defeating death having risen into the glory of the father so that every believer would have life everlasting.
Secondly, the voice of the angel proclaiming in the like manner of Jesus’s ascension, all inhabitants of the earth will witness his return, called the Lord’s 2nd Coming.
The gospel witness of Matthew shares Jesus’s instructions to all believers to go throughout the world and teach the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Thirdly, upon the end of  the earth having heard the truths of God’s Grace, salvation by faith alone in his Son Jesus Christ, reveals the times for the end of this age.
The good news of the Lord’s return, is a time for rejoicing but of  perseverance, as well.  Which Matthew explains the series of events metaphorically compared to harvest time and willowing of wheat, descriptive of economic, atmospheric instability and suffering identifying the time of the Tribulation.

    Biblical Principle |
Remain in faith continuing in the works of the Lord.
Matthew 13:30 - Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
    Scripture References |
Time for Reaping  - Matthew Chapter 13:24-30.
Become the Lord’s Witnesses - Acts Chapter 1:1-11.
    Gathering of Believers -  1st Thessalonians Chapter 4 :12-18.

What Must I Do, to Be Saved? | Understanding the EndTimes, series

What Must I Do, to Be Saved? | Understanding the EndTimes, series

    Transforming Perspectives |
Salvation or being saved  is not a frivolous term spoken only by Christians.  Salvation is God’s redemption plan for mankind which has been unfolding throughout the historical ages.
Isaiah the prophet foretold of Zion, of the salvation of God being offered to everyone as promised to the Jews as well as the world, accomplished in Jesus Christ’s birth, death and resurrection.
Salvation means being saved by faith, accepting God’s Grace in Jesus Christ and being kept or shielded from God’s ultimate judgment of eternal wrath to come, designated for his enemies.  Accepting Jesus Christ is accepting the truths of the Bible as the word of God, believing Jesus Christ is the Promised Messiah, God’s only begotten Son, Lord and Savior of the world.
Apostle Paul explains salvation occurs when believing by faith in Jesus Christ as the sacrificial offering, a propitiation or substitute who having  paid the price of death for sin, through faith becoming born again as a new spiritual possession belonging to God.

    Biblical Principles |
Salvation is by faith, responding to the conviction of your heart by the Holy Spirit that  Jesus Christ, the Lord is the sacrificial offering of righteousness for our sin.
2 Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

    Scripture References |
Explanation of Salvation- Ephesians Chapter 2.
Response to Salvation - Acts Chapter 16.
Prevailing in Salvation -2nd Corinthians Chapter 6.

The Holy Spirit | The Seal of the Promise

The Holy Spirit | The Seal of the Promise

    Transforming Perspectives |
Everyone confessing faith in Jesus Christ needs the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of God and of whom is the evidence of our faith, as our keeper and guarantee for redemption.
Paul expresses in the letter written to the Corinthians, warning about the carnality of men’s wisdom exhorting by which it is impossible to understand the things of God, because they are spiritually discerned.
Apostle John emphasizes the need to be born again of the Spirit of God, a transformation of the heart upon hearing the voice of God inspired in  the word of truth, having sent his Son Jesus Christ to die for the sin of the world.
Moreover, Paul writes to the Ephesians providing greater insights about God’s Grace and the results of accepting Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.   He expounds, our belief is manifested or becomes more than a mouth saying by trusting the word of truth.  He explains further, upon hearing and believing and trusting, the Holy Spirit seals every believer.  Metaphorically,  being marked or stamped with an impression of  authentication of  ‘Debt Paid’ by the blood of Jesus Christ, and being kept by Grace under the power of God unto the day of redemption.

    Biblical Principles |
The Holy Spirit is our Seal keeping every believer, as a precious prized possession belonging to God, is our guarantee of inheriting the promise of salvation at the day of redemption.
Ephesians 1:13-14  | In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
    Scripture References |
Man’s need to be born again - John Chapter 3.
Man’s need for the Holy Spirit - 1st Corinthians Chapter 2:11-16.
The Holy Spirit the Seal - Ephesians Chapter 1:9-14.

The HOLY Spirit - God the Spirit | Understanding the EndTimes, series

The HOLY Spirit - God the Spirit | Understanding the EndTimes, series

    Transforming Perspectives |
The Holy Spirit often called the Holy Ghost is God the Spirit, the 3rd person of the Triune or Deity of the One and True Living God.
He is often mistaken as a function of mysticism, a misnomer because of our lack of knowledge and understanding of the importance of his role as God the Spirit.
Truthfully, the Holy Spirit is not optional in a believer’s life.  His activity in our lives is the evidence of our belief.  He is the power of God. He is the Spirit of Truth, enlightening, teaching and enabling believers in the things of the kingdom of God, including spiritual gifting, protecting, guiding and directing our walk of faith  for effective lives.
Apostle John’s witness accounts exposit significantly, about the importance of the Holy Spirit, and Scripture exhorts of  the forgiveness of Sin, except the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit does not possess any egoism, but his work exclusively and entirely speaks to the glory of God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ.
He is the Restrainer, holding back rampant lawlessness, and our guardian keeping us by the power of God as well as our guarantee as a purchased prized possession of God, sealed until the day of redemption.
    Biblical Principle |
Belief and Faith are evidenced in our lives by the gifting of the Holy Spirit.
John 1:12-13 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
    Scripture References |
The Spirt testifys of Jesus Christ - John chapter 1:1-36.
The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth - John chapter 16-13:16.
John witnesses the Return of the Lord - Revelation chapter 1-10:11.

    The Restrainer’s Hold | Understanding the EndTimes,series

    The Restrainer’s Hold | Understanding the EndTimes,series

    Transforming Perspectives |
Since the time of the fall of man, God has placed a shield to  prevent evil’s full impact of lawlessness upon humanity.  Little is known about the pivotal event marking the reality of the Lord’s Second coming, identified as the Restrainer’s hold.
Apostle Paul’s second letter to  the Thessalonians is the only biblical account describing the occurrence which the Spirit of God, the Restrainer who has been holding back or guarding mankind from the evils of lawlessness until the appointed time of release, refer as ‘when the Restrainer let,’ meaning to let go.
Jesus shares with his disciples of the conditions of humanity during this time, explaining  iniquity meaning sin, wicked acts and injustices will become rampant from which men’s hearts will become cold.
Paul commending the faithful for their perseverance during suffering, also exhorts to remain steadfast and immovable in faith waiting for the Lord’s return because of the offences from the gravity of lawlessness and deprivation, many will fall away from the faith, known as the Apostasy.
Great is  God’s faithfulness!   God has revealed his plan for the redemption of humanity, Grace and admonishes the conditions of the End of this age.
    Biblical Principles|
Jesus being the author and finisher of our faith, will never leave nor forsake us, but encourages us to remain faithful until the end, his glorious return, as the King.
Jude 1:3 - Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
    Scripture References|
Conditions of the times of the EndTimes – Matthew Chapter 24:9-28.
    The Restrainer – 2 Thessalonians Chapter 2.
Ungodliness and lawlessness - Jude 1.
