Fr Joshua Whitehead says that Pentecost points us to the reality that faith can be extraordinarily experiential.

Pete Gilmore says that as temples of the Holy Spirit, we need to do regular temple maintenance. If Jesus were to come visit our temple, like he did in the gospel, which tables would he upend? Which tables would he say, well, this has no place in your life

Deacon Josh Clayton says that we need to set up good spiritual routines to complement our lifestyle routines such as routines for expanding and growing our understanding of God, prayer time, reading scripture, and reading books that help understand faith and who Jesus is.

Fr Tony Percy says that the tongues of fire symbolize three things: grace to speak with eloquence, love and wisdom. The second symbol, the mighty wind or the breath, evokes the whole mystery of the book of Genesis when God breathed over the waters

Mother Hilda says that our God has a broken heart. God doesn’t want a love Fred message, like a Christmas card once in a Blue Moon, He wants to hear the full story of how we’re going.
