This week I'm talking to Steve Neill about his book 'But Something is There'.

But Something is There is Steve Neill's journey through a life time of dealing with the unknown. Some call the experience "The Visitors" some call it abduction by aliens. The truth is we don't know what it is, But Something is There.

Bio
Steve Neill is a special effects makeup artist, filmmaker, puppeteer, model maker and visual effects (VFX) artist in film and television with a career spanning over 35 years. 
Steve started in the Industry at American Zoetrope just after high school where he produced his first film, Arthur. He was mentored by Francis Coppola and became good friends. 
Moving to Hollywood, Steve met Joe Blasco where he apprenticed for a short while before becoming friends with Rick Baker who gave him his start in Hollywood. Later he met Bob Schieffer who was head of Disney make-up and then became friends with Fred B. Phillips as a result of being friends with Bob Schieffer.
Steve Neill first worked for Fred B. Phillips on Star Trek: The Motion Picture. His first assignment was to make Spock's ears. Additionally he designed and made the appliances of the dome headed alien on the bridge that was applied by Ve Neill.
After working on Star Trek Steve went to work for John Chambers making prosthetics and puppet heads for National Lampoon’s Class Reunion.
Steve Neill has also worked on Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country for Richard Snell as a sculptor and prosthetic maker of numerous Klingon forehead pieces. Additionally he worked on the Star Trek: The Next Generation pilot episode, "Encounter at Farpoint".
Steve Neill was also one of the Famous Hollywood Gorilla Men. Over the course of many years he made three gorilla suits and performed in many commercials, tv shows and movies. Additionally he created the McDonald’s “Mac Tonight” moon character puppeteering it for many years. The head was worn by Doug Jones and puppeteered by Steve Neill, Gillian Neill and Bob Burns.
He worked on Crater Lake Monster (1977) and Laser Blast (1978). Steve created, wrote and produced The Day Time Ended (1978). He worked on Ghost Busters (1984), Fright Night (1985), and many other sci-fi and horror films. 
Steve Neill is the author of “But Something is there” and is currently in production at SNG Studio for “But Something is There” produced by Steve Neill, , Paul Gentry, Whitley Strieber and Mary Cacciapaglia.

This week I'm talking to Graeme Rendall about his book 'Chasing Shadows: Aerial UFO Encounters 1955-1956'.

By January 1955, the United States Air Force had already established and terminated two official UFO investigation programs, and was now well into its third, Project Blue Book. Thousands of pages of witness testimony, reports, and analysis had already been typed up and yet little if anything was known about UFOs. These strange objects and lights were written off as planets, weather balloons, and other aircraft, whilst unidentified radar contacts were labelled as nothing more than weather-related phenomenon (“anomalous propagation”). The official USAF response regarding UFOs was that they simply did not exist.
Yet reports of sightings continued, reported by airline pilots, jet interceptor crews, and private plane owners across the world. Chasing Shadows: Aerial UFO Encounters 1955-1956 describes in detail their encounters during those two years, drawing from official air force intelligence reports, newspaper articles, and testimony of individual witnesses.
Chasing Shadows complements the author’s three previous volumes dealing with reports between 1946 and 1954 (Dawn of the Flying Saucers, Flying Saucer Fever and Intercept & Identify), plus his critically-acclaimed examination of the "Foo Fighter" phenomenon, UFOs Before Roswell: European Foo Fighters, 1940-1945.

Graeme Rendall is a full time author and a commentator on the Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon (UAP) issue. He is also a contributor to the "The Debrief", an American news website dealing with cutting edge science, tech and defence news, and a frequent guest on various podcasts looking at UAP. He also writes articles on the subject for UAP Media UK. Between 1990 and 1992, he was the Editor of an amateur aviation magazine. Graeme has written a critically-acclaimed work looking at the "Foo-Fighters" witnessed during World War Two and the numerous wartime cases that occurred before the term was coined in November 1944. He has been an aviation and World War Two history enthusiast from an early age, when he was given Airfix model aircraft kits "to keep him quiet". Married to Jo, he lives in rural Northumberland, between the beach and the hills.

This week I am reading from Richard Martini's book 'Close Encounters of the Flipside Kind: How To Phone Home'.
For the past fifteen years, Richard has been filming, recording interviews with people talking to people offstage via hypnotherapy, mediumship or via guided meditation. In this book, Richard interviews people offstage about Aliens - including physicists who have left the stage (Stephen Hawking, Carl Sagan) as well as psychiatrists and scientists on the Flipside, (John E Mack, J Allen Hynek) peppering these interviews with personal accounts from people who were "visited by aliens" or who had an experience seeing them on their "council" or seeing them during a guided meditation or via hypnosis. People report the same things - that "we are all aliens" because "we all choose to come here from elsewhere" Mind bending reports. As Gary Schwartz PhD wrote in the foreword to his first book FLIPSIDE, "this is the kind of book where one you've read it, you'll never see the world in the same way again."

Writer/Director/Author Richard is an award winning filmmaker, who has written and/or directed 9 theatrical features, and a number of documentaries. His first book, "Flipside: A Tourist's Guide on How to Navigate the Afterlife" went to #1 twice at Amazon in all its genres. The book is based on transcripts of a documentary he made which is available at Amazon (Flipside: A Journey Into the Afterlife) and Gaia TV. His books "It's a Wonderful Afterlife" volumes one and two expands the research into the afterlife from Michael Newton's work, to include interviews with a number of scientists in the field of consciousness, including Dr. Bruce Greyson, Dr. Mario Beauregard, and Gary Schwartz Phd. He also examines near death experiences and compares their accounts to similar ones during between life sessions (the technique used by Michael Newton that allows people to access the between lives realm, or LBLs) and other examples (OBEs) where people may have lost their ability to think normally, but are having the same experiences. In "Hacking the Afterlife" he interviews mediums and explores "interviewing people no longer on the planet." As Gary Schwartz put it after reading "Flipside" “Inspiring, well written and entertaining. The kind of book where once you have read it, you will no longer be able to see the world in the same way again.”
