 Dear Mayor Hancock,  

  This is one of the best places to live in the country, according to  some. But as the holidays approach, as the leaves change colors, as the  temperature drops, for those left outside, it becomes very unpleasant.  Add to that, you are conducting brutal sweeps of encampments across the  city, enforcing your urban camping ban, destroying citizens property,  and their lives.  In the wake of covid, many more people who are out of work will be  evicted and experiencing homelessness. Who’s next?  Imagine having nowhere to wash your hands in the middle of a pandemic.  Nowhere to use the bathroom. Or maintain your menstrual hygiene. You already have a $300,000 contract with Liberty Waste, that could  provide adequate sanitation and portable restrooms for our unhoused  neighbors.  Our message to you Mayor Hancock;  End the Sweeps Now. Provide adequate portable bathroom and sanitation  facilities for Denver’s unhoused neighbors! Provide Safe Outdoor Space  for people experiencing homelessness now.
