What does legalizing abortions and fixing drug addiction have to do with racism in America?
In this first installment series, Loose Tape presents racial issues of America from The War on Drugs, Criminal Justice and Presidential elections. With the current emergence of The Black Lives Movement and the US Presidential Elections of 2020, the divisions and brutal realities of race is a hot topic for discussion.
In this episode, we explore Roe v Wade, the case which brought the legalization of abortion throughout the US--and one theory suggests it has a disturbing relationship with crime. We explore three boys in the economic transition of the 1970s, and how their lives were directly affected by Ronald Reagan's War on Drugs.
