#008 The Aussie Drought & “Stars Of The Country” With Craig Kelly

A hot topic here in Australia is the drought. Join us for a cuppa for this bonus episode as I have a good yarn with an absolute top bloke, Craig Kelly, a down-to-earth Aussie who has retired but is keeping busy as he travels from Northern Queensland down the East coast of Australia volunteering offering his help to Aussie farmers suffering from the drought. Our chat gives a great insight into this. Although our conversation is not strictly conservation (although the drought does affect the environment in many different ways with plant and animal habitat shrinking and becoming damaged but hopefully only temporarily) here we focus on the farming industry and the farmers themselves or “stars of the country” as you will hear Craig describe them as. I am always interested in the topic of the environment which has to be big picture and holistic and through this podcast show I also do like to highlight people doing amazing and generous things!
