In October 1978, an Australian private pilot named Frederick Valentich took off on what should have been a one hour flight to nearby King Island. But 40 minutes into his flight, Valentich radioed into ground control telling them he was being pursued by a UFO. Minutes later, Frederick Valentich vanished without a trace.
