In this CMS Report Talk, senior researcher at ETH Zürich Dominika Kunertova discusses her new report "New Missiles, Eroding Norms: European Security in the post-INF Treaty World” with head of centre Henrik Breitenbauch. The report contributes to the debate on the strategic consequences of the demise of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty in the Euro-Atlantic area by offering a better understanding of the interplay between missile technology and arms control. Observing the alarming erosion of the arms control architecture, the report examines how recent developments in missile technology can create cracks in strategic stability at the same time as military competition dominates the relations between the great powers.
