Steve Robertello: What is the (real) State of College Athletics
Steve Robertello has been a college athletics administrator for more than 25 years. Currently the Associate Commissioner of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF), he's served in positions at Washington State, Arizona State, West Virginia, Villanova and was the Deputy and Interim AD at Fresno State. In the first of a two-part conversation Steve explains the MPSF, assesses the state of college athletics and delves into "institutional control" at the conference level. That's a term generally reserved for the NCAA when levying penalties. Here, we're interested in discussing the quality of conference leadership.
