At Eastbourne dot online we want to get to the heart of the community, to find out what charities are up to, fundraising events, community projects, good causes and also what individual people are achieving. So maybe you write poetry or have published a book. Perhaps you sing or play in a band and you want more exposure and a shout out when you are playing a gig. It doesn’t matter what it is, we want to showcase all that is great in Eastbourne!
Our aim at Eastbourne.online is to get to the heart of the community by working with the community, local government, charities, businesses and individuals. We have live streamed a few events including Eastbourne full Council Meetings and Planning Committee meetings.

Ray Dadswell - Myrtle Martin
Eastbourne.online's Ray Dadswell talks with Myrtle Martin. She visited Montero in 2007 while on holiday and immediately felt a sense of coming home, to the place God wanted her to be. She started the organization in 2009 after researching the needs of disabled people in the district with local friends, linking with the local Baptist Church.
The day centre was opened in 2010 and by 2011 Runaperu was employing a physiotherapist, Leo. An activities leader delivered skills-based sessions 3 days a week while the centre was open for physio treatments. This provided our young people with a peer group and a support network. Many had not been able to access State education and did not have skills which would help them to gain greater independence.
Julissa joined our team as the activities leader in 2016 and Yessica supports Leo as a physiotherapy assistant. Yessica is paid for by the mayor of Montero who fully supports our work. The team continues to visit people at home in the communities around the town twice a week.

Briefly speaking to Sue it is apparent straight away that she wears many hats for Community Wise, Parent & Toddler Support Group and Churches Together for Eastbourne. Today she talks to Ray Dadswell about Challenge Team UK which is a group of young volunteers who educate teenagers about healthy sexuality. She also talks about Community Wise (all about the community) where she runs a Parent and Toddler Support Group. Plus the Old Town Fete managed by Old Town Churches.
