We discuss her writing Picking the Bones from The Fat Pedagogy Reader, as well as her experience as a fat girl, woman, and professor of fat studies. Ultimately, we learn the vital importance of hearing marginalized stories as a way to combat the programmed prejudice we face in Anti-fat America.
