    Dinho, an Egyptian international PhD student in the University of Nottingham Malaysia, wants to further his studies in China for more exposure. But due to the rising tide of COVID-19, his plan was cancelled. Not receiving any updates from the university as well, he goes back home, to the U.A.E. 

    Like Dinho, many students local and international are challenged with concerns for their futures: What is to become of the plans they have set for their viable future? This discussion is a means to keep calm and grounded as we navigate through this uncertain time together, one day at a time.

    As the number of the COVID-19 infected accumulates, the Restriction of Movement Order (RMO) lockdown is updated more frequently and reinforced more strictly. But students staying on campuses are still found to be gathering in common areas, going over to one another’s rooms, and even jogging outside. 

    We invite Dr Chopra to review the effectiveness of how people are dealing with the situation, to answer questions the students have for him via Q&A polls, and to educate us about a pandemic not like we’ve ever encountered.
