He is committed to educating citizens about the importance of participating in government and he invites you to join in on the conversation. The focus here, will be to use real life common sense to work through the issues facing all of us... as we attempt to "Better Government through Citizen Involvement." Folie à deux

Church & State
The first 16 words, of the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America are: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..." (the rest of the Amendment reads as follows: "...or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.") But it's those first 16 words that is the focus of Ep #194.
The phrase "separation of church and state" does not appear in the Constitution... but it would seem as if the "idea" certainly does! However, some Americans are looking to do away with that idea. Interview #2 w/Jeff Maurer (Libertarian Candidate for Indiana Secretary of State)
Join Kris in welcoming Libertarian Candidate, Jeff Maurer, back to the show for this 2nd interview! Jeff is running for Secretary of State of Indiana during the "2022 General Election" (which will take place on Tuesday, November 8th, 2022). When Jeff was here the first time, Kris focused on who he was, why he was running as a Libertarian & then they took a bit of an introductory look at his campaign.
In this episode, Kris & Jeff dive a little deeper... to look at the solutions to some very serious issues facing Indiana's Election Processes! Jeff talks, in depth, about what he wants to do to make Indiana's Elections "more accountable!" And then, in a first for the show, Jeff tells Kris about something he has recently changed his thoughts on, and it "BLOWS KRIS' MIND!" So much so, that, as Kris put it, "this has seriously caused me to look at how I feel about this and I could really see changing my thoughts on how I handle this moving forward!" They then talk about the other aspects of the Secretary of State's Office, before wrapping the show up.
