Jasmine is current Judicial Fellow placed at the Los Angeles Superior Court. Born and raised in Compton, CA, Jasmine has a strong passion for the K-12 educational system and criminal justice reform. Her multiple intersecting identities have propelled me to pursue a career that promotes public well-being.
Jasmine received dual bachelor degrees in Criminal Justice and Political Science. During her undergraduate career, she was a Sac Semester Intern and a Panetta Congressional Intern.
State University, Sacramento, is active learning at its best. As the most populous state in the U.S., California has a large and complex state government that deals with public policy on virtually all the issues that confront the nation. The Sacramento Semester Program is an immersive internship program run during the spring semester on the campus of CSU, Sacramento. This rigouros experience is designed for students interested in the policy-making process. Participants will be required to enroll in a 6 unit internship course requiring a commitment of working an average of 24 hours a week at their site; additionally, students will be enrolled in 6 units of coursework consisiting of a Thursday evening seminar and Friday morning class.
