What do we learn from a temporary Tabernacle?

This week we learn about the commandment to build the Tabernacle in the desert. The creating of the Tabernacle was temporary in nature (until we would enter the Promised Land and build a permanent Holy Temple), yet so much of the Torah is devoted to describing it.
What are we to learn from its construction?
