240. Permission To Be A Creative – with Shani Nottingham

The Merilyn Show

On today’s show I’m chatting with Shani Nottingham - a working artist I met on Instagram. Her art and story fascinated me. And I wanted to share her story with you, to encourage you to find and live your wow.

And wow, what a story. We cover bullying, depression, the fizzy jitters, adult ADHD, the frustrations and beauty of living in the country and even breadtags!

Shani (rhymes with rainy) is an artist of many talents, working with paint, print, collage and photography. She believes her mission is to make joyful beauty and loveliness to make your heart sing. Shani shows her work through exhibitions and her very successful social media channels, as well as hosting creative workshops and fulfilling commission pieces. Her clients range from small start up businesses to large companies, councils, government departments, big brands, homeware retailers, authors, magazines, charities and other creatives. As well as all of this, she continues to work on her very personal endeavour, The Breadtag Project.
