Stolen Cars, Broken Taboos, and the Search for Billy Davis

Before he broke down musical barriers with his virtuoso talent, Jimi Hendrix broke the monotony of teenage life by breaking the law––stealing cars––and when he saw Little Richard perform for the first time he got a crash course in breaking norms. It was a lesson he’d never forget.

Disgraceland got me hooked from the get go. Just as the panic of finishing the last episode set in, there’s Jake’s voice once again 🤘 you really hit the spot with the 27 Club. For a young dude in Australia who’s obsessed with this era of rock history, all I can say is I can’t get enough. Stoked there’s going to be season 2. Bring on the Lizard King !!!

The Great Romancer ,

Do yourself a favour.

Jake Brennan weaves his Disgraceland magic over a subject very dear to my heart, the 27 club, obviously. Only one episode in and I’m already jonesing for the next hit. Can’t wait for next week.
Have a listen, tell your friends.
