    Cancelled Cycles

Dr. Natalie Crawford discusses cancelled cycles, why they happen, and why it shouldn’t always be a bad thing if your cycle gets cancelled. Frozen embryo transfers

    Frozen embryo transfers

In this week’s episode, Dr. Natalie Crawford offers an overview of the frozen embryo transfer. She discusses different protocols, why the timing is what it is, and what you should know if you’re preparing to undergo IVF and an embryo transfer. She explains that, no, your embryos won’t get freezer burn, and that you should keep them as long as you possibly can.
For the Fertility in the News segment, Dr. Crawford addresses a story published by CNN and others, highlighting parents who welcomed twins from embryos frozen 30 years ago. And while the headline is lovely, Natalie addresses the subject's use of the word “adoption” in place of donation, and explains how the company used in this case is actually a discriminatory successful financial organization.
Finally, Natalie answers your social media questions during her segment FFS—For Fertility’s Sake. She addresses: How long after a D&C would you recommend trying again? Can fallopian tubes be unblocked with surgery? Thoughts on breastfeeding during a frozen transfer? And more!

Highly recommend

Dr Crawford discusses all things fertility in such a approachable way. This podcast has educated me so much in an easy to understand way. She advocates for women’s heath and empowers you to understand your own. My favourite has been her coverage of covid, the vaccine and fertility. This is not discussed enough, and there is so much misinformation out there. Dr Crawford covers this with FACTS! and debunks all of the myths I’ve heard. Thank you! :)
