There’s a reason the History Channel has produced hundreds of documentaries about Hitler but only a few about Dwight D. Eisenhower. Bad guys (and gals) are eternally fascinating. Behind the Bastards dives in past the Cliffs Notes of the worst humans in history and exposes the bizarre realities of their lives. Listeners will learn about the young adult novels that helped Hitler form his monstrous ideology, the founder of Blackwater’s insane quest to build his own Air Force, the bizarre lives of the sons and daughters of dictators and Saddam Hussein’s side career as a trashy romance novelist.

Needs better cohost

Honestly, the only thing that lets this podcast down is the cohosts that will occasionally just talk absolute nonsense for no reason other than to be heard. The reason why shows like the dollop works so well is because they have a much tighter cohost host dynamic. Please be a little more careful with the cohosts, and keep Sophie from interrupting

Endless entertainment

BtB is my go to show and I refer it to anyone interested in learning history from a true researcher.

Not satisfied with the release rate of two episodes a week (which is amazing), I have started from the beginning and found enough time has passed to enjoy them again.

Keep going CZM!!!

Horrible human history with humor

The only way to digest the horrors of humanity is with honesty and a bit of humor. Always glad to tune in and learn about various barbaric details which we must pay attention to and avoid for future generations.
