These folks are my go-to for US news and political updates - well-researched, empathetic, charismatic with a twisted sense of humour. These 5 stars specifically, however, are for Cody’s deranged second ad read from 15 October which has improved my week infinitely. Thanks for that chief.

Boring to listen to then missed the mark talking about the Amber Heard/Johnny Depp trial. Guys if you read this, you clearly haven’t paid that much attention to the trial. The damages received by Amber was because of being defamed by it being called a hoax, yes. But this came before the ruling overall which found that she HAD actually defamed Johnny Depp and in the process of that had told so many pork pies (and set up a crime scene to frame him to boot). Even without it being called a hoax before hand, she would have been found guilty. It’s dangerous and lazy to play both sides of this equally. One is definitely worse that the other. Having been in a relationship with someone like Amber myself, it was very easy to see the pattern of abuse and lies, and like you said the trial was triggering. Narcissists are so insidious because the play the game so well and will often play the victim. They leave little room to be called out, and when they do they rely on people like you guys who play close to the middle ground. Not everything in the world is black and white, most things are shades of grey. But this situation is clearly one right and one wrong. Very often the media gets it wrong taking sides but this time they didn’t. And the overwhelming amount of people who took the time to watch the trial themselves also believe the outcome was just. That says a lot. You guys need to seriously go back and think about what you’re saying.
