Chasing Tone - Guitar Podcast About Gear, Effects, Amps and Tone

A really entertaining podcast. Don’t expect super technical or in-depth discussion. Do expect there to be a lot of entertaining sidetracks onto topics not related to guitar. There’s usually a few nuggets of good info in each ep though. Brian is a font of knowledge and guests usually have something interesting to share. I docked a star because when Brian does explain something he purposely does at “third grade level” and sometimes stuff just can’t be explained that way - sometimes he tries to explain multiple related things and the simplistic explanation for the first thing totally stuffs up the explanation for the others and makes it more confusing.

If you’re into big Dicks, butchering the English language and goats, grab yourself a can of Bullshine ™ and join Brian and the boys to hear about stuff that sometimes includes guitar pedals….. the guy with the glasses is pretty handsome too.

Too much irrelevant rambling. Blake and Richard are good but Brian derails the conversation so often that it gets irritating and worse boring. Brian clearly spends time surfing the web when he doesn’t like the conversation. Unfortunately the conversation he doesn’t like seems to be on pedals, guitars, amps and guitars. He’s very keen to show his ignorance. Less keen to show his (formidable) knowledge of pedals. Shame.

Great show, found it on a forum recommendation, so many tangents, but they're mostly funny, stacks of knowledge and practical info, and they don't take themselves too seriously which I love. Great amount of plugs and references to other people/builders/suppliers, great resource!
