The connection between Lyme disease and mental health struggles

The connection between Lyme disease and mental health struggles

In this episode, I interview filmmaker and advocate Lindsey Keys about how Lyme disease affects mental health, it's symptoms, and how to manage it. Chronic Lyme disease is still not recognized by many doctors, even though many people around the globe are suffering, which is why Lindsey refers to it as the “quiet epidemic”.

The scandalous but genius Mother of the Mind-Body Revolution

The scandalous but genius Mother of the Mind-Body Revolution

In this podcast I interview bestselling author and journalist Pamela Ryckman about her new book, Candace Pert: Genius, Greed, and Madness in the World of Science, Pamela talks about the life and career of one of the leading researchers of the mind, brain and body connection, the renowned neuropharmacologist Candace Pert. As Pamela notes, she played pivotal roles in major movements in both science and politics.

Unfortunately, she was sabotaged by mentors and colleagues keen to profit from her brilliance. But, as Pamela discusses in her book, Candace also became tainted, “believing that her noble ends would justify devious means.”

Ears and heart wide open ,

Light bulb moment !!

I dip in and out of Dr Leaf’s podcast as stuff comes up in my life, there will always be an episode that resonates. This show was exactly what I needed to unlock a recent encounter with intrusive thoughts around imposter syndrome, feeling like I wasn’t good enough, smart enough, incapable of putting my coaching business online. Thank you Dr Leaf, this episode has given me a new set of tools to unpack and reconstruct my intrusive thoughts that were totally paralyzing me. Loved it😘

Too Much

I am sure this lady knows a lot but her podcasts are annoying. She talks so much about herself with a multitude of anecdotal side items that do nothing to improve my knowledge and understanding regarding the subject matter. It’s highly irritating and also time-wasting. Let the guests get to the point and save the chitchat for coffee after the show. We are all busy people.
