Episode 10: Dr. Sumit Dahal | Studying the origins of the universe

Science ka Kura

In this episode, we talk with Dr. Sumit Dahal, a postdoctoral fellow at NASA, about his journey to being an astrophysicist at NASA. Dr. Dahal is interested in fundamental questions like how was the universe created? What exactly happened at the Big Bang? To answer these questions, he and his team build telescopes that can study the origins of our universe. For his PhD at Johns Hopkins University, he worked to build a set of telescopes called "CLASS" in the Atacama Desert, Chile. At NASA, he works on a telescope with similar science goals that will be launched into the stratosphere on a balloon. Listen to this episode and get to know about his fascinating journey and the significance of research in physics. You can reach out to him through his website or LinkedIn.
