For The Love With Jen Hatmaker Podcast

New York Times bestselling author Jen Hatmaker and her longtime friend, Amy Hardin, have arrived in the middle years — and they couldn’t be happier about it. Each has navigated the ins and outs of life — from careers, to parenting, marriage (and, for Jen, divorce), spiritual evolution, and the joys of being hardcore Gen Xers. With each weekly episode, Jen and Amy serve as our “everywoman” guides to all the seasons — past, present, and future — as they walk excitedly and tenaciously into the second half of life. While Jen and Amy have plenty of wisdom to share — and some pretty hilarious stories, too — they don’t claim to know it all. That's why they invite some of the most interesting and accomplished guests to the podcast, bringing insight, expertise, and understanding to the most relevant topics of our time. From Jen and Amy’s compelling conversations with guests to their witty banter (and the occasional eye-rolls at the absurdities of life), they’re here reassure you that you’re not alone in this game of life. It’s “For the Love” of all that is good, justified, exasperating, exhilarating, real, fun — and so much more.

I’ve always loved For the Love podcast and found Jen Hatmaker to be a good and kind guide. Today I listened to her interview her daughter and they revealed for the first time to the general public that Sydney is gay. I have been following Jen pretty closely for a few years now and I’d never had an inkling of that. The fact that she so carefully guarded her daughter’s privacy is a testament to what a wise and self restrained mother and leader she is. Of course she would want to protect her children from all the suffering she has endured but the fact that she never let on that this was so, so close to home is inspiring. To be that vigilant and self-discipled to never make Sydney’s journey about herself or to use it to shame her critics is just amazing. She had skin in the game but she never referred to it. I know it’s what any good mother should do, but plenty wouldn’t. My respect for Jen Hatmaker was already high but now even more so.
The Science Mike podcast was amazing

Coming to faith from a cult and then seeing cult like tendencies in church that brought all the monsters up from the deep, I was curious to see how Mike found his way back to God and the Bible and Church, because I’m honestly not there yet. I was so encouraged to hear how rigorous he was with his own faith and how he asked questions of Gods morality and goodness in light of genocide etc-those Scriptures have troubled me for decades. But ultimately what made me tear up was his encounter with God on the edge of the ocean. I have a lot of questions but it’s the encounter with the Presence of God I miss the most as I wrestle.
My absolute fav.

This podcast is my new absolute favourite. Why? Because Jen engages in brave conversation that l have been desperate for. There’s nothing dull about this podcast. It’s thought provoking, challenging, eye opening and oh so encouraging. Love it to bits. Will not miss it. Total life changer!!!
I Wanted to....but couldn’t...

Having read one of her books and having enjoyed it, I was looking forward to listening to her. I tried a few episodes. And I just got sick of the self serving focus, the overdone laughter, the inane pointlessness of it all. I was so disappointed but it is what it is. Some people might think they can do a podcast and slick it up with a scripted intro etc but that doesn’t mean they should. This is what happens when people start believing their own press. Glad I switched off.
