Girl Taken
Across the world people were presented with what appeared to be a heart-breaking but straightforward story of a father and his motherless daughter struggling to get to Britain. But behind those headlines lay a far more sinister truth. BBC Journalist Sue Mitchell and former soldier Rob Lawrie discover that the little girl appears to have simply vanished. An amazing story of love and empathy, beautifully told

It has taken 12 months to bump In The Dark (Curtis Flowers) off my number one list and you have done it. I experienced many different emotions while listening and I have to be honest I was hoping for a different outcome for the mother. Rob, kind and empathetic which I appreciate, but as a mother I was happy to hear Sue in episode 10 bring some accountability into the story with regards to the father. He put Goli through years of hell for his own selfish gain and I struggle to feel any empathy for him. Goli sounds absolutely delightful and I sincerely hope her “alien” passport will be replaced with a “non alien” one.
Liberal gullibility at its finest

Fantastic (albeit unintentional) expose of liberal gullibility on the subject of the immigrant crisis. Two middle class folks who assume that if one is suffering one most essentially be good and get taken in. Shock horror :)
Wow

This is the best podcast I’ve listened to all year. By the last episode I was openly weeping in the street. I’m so moved by Goli’s grace. Thank you for sharing this story
