Lock down in Wagga Wagga

Hi Spurge and Zack. I am sitting in my lounge room in Wagga Wagga country New South Wales in Australia after our safe haven has finally had to lock down due to the spread of Covid in our state. If I wasn’t sitting hear I would most likely been out riding one of my BMWs. I have a 2019 R1250GS, a 1991 K100RS, and a 1983 R100RS and am a member of the Canberra BMW Morotcycle club which is about 3 hours from here in Wagga Wagga. I have been listening to you guys for quite a while and generally listen to your great podcasts while driving 20 minutes there and home from a casual high school teaching job that I have been doing now and then since I retired. At 68 I have owned 42 motor bikes since I started riding when I was 16 on my brother’s Bridgestone 90 around our back yard in Sydney. Please keep up the podcasts as they are great fun to watch and listen to. Bruce Barter in Wagga Wagga

Enjoy the banter even if I don’t understand it all

I have been riding bikes for 49 years, first one was an AJS 500 single and now have a supercharged Gen 2 Busa. I’ve taught and raced and love it. Once my ex-wife told me I could not have my race car and my 1976 Ducati 900SS (it was pretty new then) and I chose to sell the bike and kept rallying! Within 3 months she was begging me to buy another bike! Truth is I should’ve sold her, you know how much that 900SS would be worth now?

Well, I love listening to you guys but living in Sydney Australia I don’t get the sporting (except m/c) references and some of the places. But that doesn’t stop me having a chuckle anyways.

I hired an Electra glide in 2003/4 and rode up the Rockies into Canada, in summertime mind you! Worked in Pennsylvania, NY and LA for a few months at a time, so the podcast is not only informative and fun, but brings back some memories too.

Now onto my third wife and she enjoys going on the Back of the Busa - got her a Corbin seat with backrest so she doesn’t make a mess on the road when I give it some, and a hand grip thing on the tank. Chews up rear tyres but, hey, the front one is hardly worn at all!

Keep up the good work and I reckon the Busa is the best sports tourer out there - this is my third one. Wrote off the first two - just can’t find anything else as fast and comfortable.

Cheers

Great show - high replay value

Ahh, the dulcet tones of Spruge and Zack, occasionally joined by other likeminded folk. From KTM’s to Motul, the latest and greatest gear to industry talk, be kind to your ears and give this show a shout.
