We asked, and you all jumped at the chance to remind us of the singles that represented the decade of big hair, shoulder pads, and pop megastars. We count down the best songs of the 80s as voted by our audience and came up with a mixtape worthy of a John Hughes film. Plus, Pete finally gets his chance to punk Jules and hilarity ensues...

The team find themselves having their own 'Almost Famous' moments. Jules reads (well, actually listens to) the book Daisy Jones & the Six, and then watches the series and continues to croon over rock stars named Billy. Pete goes to the see the Sheepdogs live and swoons over hairy dudes with guitars and flares.

Back in the early 90s, life was changing every day in every possible way. It was a time of siamese dreams when we were dazed and confused by dinosaurs, bodyguards and big days out. Yes, dear listeners, 1993 we lived a lonely life. All we had were the Simpsons, Seinfeld and the X-Files, and CD singles of the latest pop the record company machines (which we tried to rage against) would sell us vs the radio-friendly unit shifters from indie rock bands. All apologies if we get too nostalgic in this episode — we promise we won't leave you numb.

While Jules swoons over the singular awesomeness that is Dave Grohl and his recently published memoir of the life of the hardest working dad in rock 'n' roll.
