How one elective could set you on a career path in psychology

Get Hungry

Distinguished Professor James Ogloff is a Forensic Psychologist and the Dean of Health Sciences at Swinburne. James, or Jim as he prefers, manages a variety of things in his role as Dean, but has never lost his passion for forensic psychology. Over his 35-year-long career, he's published 18 books and is passionate about helping the next generation of forensic psychologists.

In this episode, Jim shares how his career moved him from his home in Canada, all the way over to Australia, and how he found his calling along the way. He breaks down what it means to be a forensic psychologist, and shares the story of how a single elective at university changed his life forever.

If you’re keen on a career like Jim’s, consider studying a double degree in Psychological Sciences and Criminal Justice and Criminology at Swinburne.
