There’s no way for those who have true empathy to be complacent or ignore the cracks in inequities and the cruelty that was present even before this virus arrived. There are some who see how the gig-app economy born in Silicon Valley didn’t really care for some its workforce or those who lived in poverty around them. As millions loose their jobs and begin to work for Big Tech platforms for low wages, why not directly ask tech platforms and companies for payment and transparency with the data people generate everyday on social media and beyond?
