    Introducing Sound Judgment

    Introducing Sound Judgment

Deadlines, production meetings, staff management, show scheduling... in any given day, there's rarely time to pause and consider the craft of audio storytelling. Of course, PRX and Transom hope Sound School provides an easy opportunity to do that. On this episode, we'd like to introduce you to another podcast with the same mission: Sound Judgment hosted by Elaine Appleton Grant and featuring an interview with Jonathan Menjivar about his podcast Classy.

I learn something with every listen!

One of my long-time favourite podcasts - a great way to learn audio and storytelling techniques, and discover interesting radio stories and podcasts. I love the format of focusing on a single story, interviewing its maker and hearing about the creative process. All with convivial, warm, expert host Rob Rosanthal. Highly recommended!!

The best guide to audio journalism

I listen to Rob / Howsound every time there's a new episode up. For years Rob's show (and his guests and their stories) has been a steady guide for me on my media path. Apart from being a 'how-to' for professionals and budding producers, each episode of Howsound is just a really interesting listen.

A must for radio professionals

You can find heaps of podcasts about all sorts of topics but How Sound is one of the very few (actually the only one I am aware of) specifically designed about the craft of radio production, analysed through examples that bring to you amazing podcasts to further explore. I love the pace, the length, the degree of technical advise / analysis of every single episode. How Sound has given me lots of ideas, things to think about and lots of incredibly interesting podcasts I didn't know about. I highly recommend How Sound to anyone interested in creating radio production.
