Jay! Must be congratulated on his award winning podcast. It's informative, well-produced, interesting, and most of all, intelligent and well informed. Best of the Left brings all of your favourite (small "l") liberal, (mainly American), audio news sources, and collates them - thematically - twice weekly for our entertainment; enjoyment; education and critical thought. A byproduct and definite bonus is the self-improvement, privilege of having the chance the become a better ally because of the incredibly knowledge imparted by Jay! and the sense of growth I've felt on my BotL journey. I also see Best of the Left as my "Understandings of The United States of America - Political/Social Studies for Antipodeans". These are not stories I'm usually familiar with, and as an Australian, I don't have the cultural history to understand many issues. But I'm now far more prescient of how the issues BotL deals with will be the ruin of our own (for the moment) Secular society that has safety nets for the elderly, the sick, the unemployed, the disabled; where women can get abortions, legally; etc, etc. And I don't want this to change. We already have *our* Right Wing (Liberal) politicians, who want to remove these rights, and impose a more morally decrepit society. If you're thinking of voting LNP. Please listen to BotL. Regardless it really is the BEST Critical Thinking podcast, with brilliant production. TY Jay!
