The year is 2054, and our story begins with Iris Ignatius floating in a stolen boat off the West Coast of North America, trying to tell us a story. But how did she get there? In IRIS, the world of the future is living up to the adage of ‘the more things change, the more they stay the same’. In post-oil, climate-changed world, regular people are still subject to the forces of corporate greed. Three members of an independent media collective, Break Media, come up against a strange story involving a series of death threats against a renewable energy corporation. For Break Media - Jolene, Kris, and Iris - it represents a mystery that leads them to the doors of cult compounds, the grand estates of the wealthy, and into their own hearts.
