Most poignant as today I listened to the Carly Ryan episode & this week my son’s school is hosting a cyber safety evening being held by the Carly Ryan Foundation here in Sydney. Because of this episode I will attend. Thank you for raising awareness.

Full of Charlie’s “woe is me” and unsubstantiated opinions. Abhorrently and disgustingly biased

Since the change from In Sight I have noticed that Charlie is spending more time adding in her own personal (unqualified) opinions on people, motives, psychological disorders, society, ... everything! There also as been a bit of subliminal blame on the former co-presenter for whatever went on to cause the change to Crimelines. If you aren’t going to make a public statement about whatever went on, stop alluding to what were “the GOOD old days”. If the rumours about what Ali left are true - as least it means that what she was saying wasn’t just Charlie’s biased personal opinions.

She also complains about how much of a struggle it is for her to do this, and “woe is me” all the time - if it is such a struggle make changes to make it easier don’t waste time complaining (especially about money!). You have xhosen to do this job, I don’t care to hear about how hard it is for you record with children around, we all manage to do our own jobs balancing our lifestyles. If it is such a struggle for you (as your incessant complaining makes it out to be), perhaps you need to reconsider this work until your personal life can stop effecting it.

Please stop adding in your own opinions - focus on the research facts! This used to be amazing and I would love eagerly await the new episodes now I put them off until I I’ve run out of other episodes of podcasts or I am in the right mindset to listen to it.

I really hope it improves! You clearly have great researchers working for you, focus on the info they give you not your personal anecdotes.
You should listen to some episodes of Casefile to get an idea of what it is like to produce balanced, critical presentations of cases - rather than personalised, biased, (disgustingly racists on occasion) opinions.
