Introducing...Lucky Boy Gareth’s whole life has been defined by a relationship he had 35 years ago when, as a 14-year-old schoolboy, he fell in love with an attractive young teacher at his school. He spent most afternoons in her bedroom and thought he was the luckiest boy in the world. But when she walked out of his life everything started to unravel. So important on so many levels.

This is also the basis of Parental Alienation where one insecure parent creates false memories in the children in order to damage the child’s attachment to the other ( target ) healthy parent. Children will go through absolute anguish in this process, and experience denial of self. ( exactly as denying sexuality is described here - but it need not be sexuality that is denied. ) Who we inherently are, and what we need. This “false”, instrumental “regard” is transactionalized for the benefit of the pathologically insecure “parent” or cult “leader”. An analysts of Anne Craig will likely reveal she is deeply narcisstic or sociopathic.
Great podcast but biased.

Very well researched. Focused on the crimes of others. Never looking deeply at the crimes we as the west commit.
I agree with Rob: Into the dirt season 5
13/12/2024
I love Tortoise and have been a regular listener in love with the shows. But in Season 5, I agree with Rob’s stance Cari could have made it such a medicine by taking Rob’s advice on digging into the Asbestos industry and helping the campaigners. I agree that Rob is a shady character but of-course had he not disclosed it he would still be spy. I think Rob had some moral standing and I think Cari did judge him hard. Of-course he is not a hero but he could have been a side character and the lead towards Asbestos could have benefited a lot of people. It’s a shame the story was never taken up in the right direction. And in Season 11 the reporter although very right in the topic but is pro Israel and against Iran. Well be it Iran or Iraq I think the author is quite judgemental. A reporter is always neutral and Hamas is not a terrorist organisation but rather a resistance. By 2024 she should know about the history of Palestine or is she just living in her shell.
Hit job

Wow. I believe in hearing contrarian views, but this is just an outright hit-job - on the man’s character. Avoid.
