Out Of The Margins
In a world where Christianity in the West is increasingly being pushed to the margins in the post-Christendom era, there is a wealth of wisdom and insight to be gained from voices that have long resided in the margins. "Out of the Margins" highlights the insights of the experiences and perspectives of Christians from the Majority world who are intimately familiar with being a minority and marginalised. Hosted by Simon Nugent and Edgar Solis
Engaging conversations with great hosts & great guests!

I thoroughly enjoyed this podcast. Great to hear people reflecting on their experiences as Christians from the Majority world, and sharing their insights & critiques on various topics. It definitely broadened my mind and challenged the biases & blind spots I have as someone who grew up in a Western country. Many times, the conversations also gave me language for concepts & ideas I had been grappling with myself. Edgar and Simon are fab hosts too. They ask thoughtful questions and explore each topic with the guests in an open & engaging way. In particular, I appreciated the episode about Redefining the Prosperity Gospel. It shed light on another way to think about wealth, generosity & success in a holistic way. Thank you to Dr Tamie and Kamwende for sharing your insights & experiences! The conversation was so enlightening :)
Refreshing, fun and exhilarating

Like feeling a sea breeze felt from faraway, I think of satellite pictures showing the swirling movement of weather patterns across continents and oceans when I think of what is being explored in this podcast. If you want to hear about how the Holy Spirit is multiplying and moving in so many different places at once in our world, then this podcast is a good place to start. I have already learnt so much from Out of the Margins, about colonial missionary history, reverse mission, heart language translations and the great tea question controversy! It has got me thinking about the universality of the Gospel across all cultures and languages and I’m excited to hear more from the Young Langham Project.
