You may not know the name, Brandon Truaxe, but you most likely will know some of the brands he created – Brandon was behind the international skin care brand – The Ordinary which is part of the Deciem group of companies.
This is the true story of the rise and demise of a man that was once lauded business genius.
Across 15 months from 2017, he went from skincare savant to taking over his companies Instagram account, with daily disturbing messages, he fired staff via social media, accused his fellow shareholders of financial impropriety, was arrested outside the British Pm’s house, and was sanctioned in the Uk and then taken to court in a bitter court battle which saw him ousted from his own company.
Then sadly in 2019 he fell from his balcony in Toronto.

Could have been a smash hit
The missing ingredient is current interviews. It so badly needs real voices of people involved in this story. I know that takes more journalistic resources, but the AI just doesn’t weave a narrative that real human perspectives and reflections can give. It ends up just a flat retelling of events.
Not great, too much AI
The story is interesting but the writing is terrible. The narrator notes that interviews are read by AI voices but it sounds like the whole podcast was written and delivered by AI. There are so many grammatical errors in the “reporting”, it makes you wonder if there was actually a human behind this
Another unethical podcast from Podshape
When this channel isn’t making podcasts that exploit grieving families they are doing this. So callous and unfeeling to cover the story of a mentally ill person who ended their life.
Also as usual the editing, sound and script are terrible.
