DYK the climate crisis ain't a standalone issue, isolated from all else? It is in fact interwoven and intersecting with all areas of our lives and the action we take must reflect that! What does that mean? It means it's really easy to engage with The Green New Deal and intersectional environmentalism on a daily basis. In fact, you're probably already doing it! This episode is part two with Theresa Godin as she dissects On Fire, a book by Naomi Klein about the burning case for a Green New Deal. Jump into episode one here and then get into this one!

Friendly, easy listening & so helpful!

I’m a long term listener & this podcast is one of my few must-listens. Although some of the content doesn’t relate to me directly (Aussie listener, Canadian podcast) when speaking of local companies, etc. I still always benefit in some way. It opens my eyes to finding these things local to me. And of course, the general tips & tricks that can benefit anyone, no matter where you live. Thank you for your hard work Elspeth. I love what you do & you have been an enormous help to me in my journey to help make the Earth a better place!

Life changing, although in manageable steps

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Because of you I have managed to reduce our home waste by almost half, I’ve cut my clothes and books by half (by giving them to friends), I’m the local admin for my Buy Nothing Group and I have my whole family looking at ways to reduce waste every day. You’ve really opened my eyes and every episode I’ve listened to gives me tips I can and do implement easily.
Thank you so much for helping save our gorgeous planet and for encouraging community!! 🌸🌸

Interesting but lacking diverse voices

Ive really enjoyed this podcast but i’m incredibly disappointed in the lack of diversity of interview subjects. Indigenous and Black peoples inclusion in the space of sustainability is not only necessary if we want to make real change but also acknowledges that often ideas of sustainable living have been taken from those very cultures. i found the discussion of rewinding interesting but think it would have made much more sense to talk to Indigenous activists about this given its their lands that we are trying to preserve. Like I said i appreciate what the podcast is doing but I will have to stop listening (and stop recommending to my friends and family) if i don’t see more diversity
