Carol Mae Whittick faced many challenges as a child. Growing up after her father died in a single-parent home and her mother battled a lifelong mental illness. 

Carol experienced the foster care system, and then t ongoing rejection most people face when trying for a career in the music industry. 

The way she overcame these was to always know that she was more than her challenges.  Carol had a deep faith in herself and a curiosity about why things happen and why people are the way they are. 

By being able to hold some compassion and understanding she has been able to overcome and see the growth that she always experienced.
