Customer Reviews
Stunning
The Monocle Weekly and other Monocle podcasts are what all other current affairs, design and editorial podcasts should aspire to be.
Episodes are crisp, clean and cultured. The content is fresh and topical and the podcasts length means that issues are not just briefly mentioned but rather are analysed in depth discussions.
A staple to my podcast collection.
Oh, and go out and buy the magazine. It's worth it.
Inane dross by the privileged few
I've purchased Monocle magazine from the initial issue but over the years the increasingly arrogant tone has left me .....underdone and well bored. With the launch of Monocle 24, the cocksureness of the Canadian editor-in-chief in his ill fitting J Crew suit and George Michael 1994 stubble has compounded the problem. Escape the ill timed and inappropriate advertisements and advertorials, The World Service or the Economist this is NOT. Get serious and skip this dross.
Cool Global Affairs Banter & Music
The latest baby from Tyler Brulé, creator of Wallpaper* Magazine. This podcast is from contributors to his latest magazine, Monocle, which is similar to Wallpaper* but with elements of say The Economist but way cooler. The summer series features great live music
