Gallstones and pancreatitis - if this impacts you: listen to sludge!
My wife just went through emergency gallbladder surgery after months of similar appointments trying to understand her pangs of extreme abdominal pain. We’re in Sydney Australia, currently in lockdown, with two children. So it’s been emotionally draining.
Listening to this while she was in the hospital (for 10 days!) was therapeutic for me. We’ve had multiple negative experiences with patronising surgeons and useless physicians. And during her stay, my wife praised the nurses! We are still unclear what she should/shouldn’t eat or drink.
I’ve been listening to The Bechdel Cast for years; and enjoyed Caitlin’s appearances in other media, but wasn’t really aware of this one. It should be promoted more - it’s so relevant! And now more than ever, it’s such an important topic and a very well analysed and presented podcast. Thank you.
