My Little Slice of Me Time

I have been writing on and off for as long as I can remember except the last year when I had my first babies- a delightful set of twins. I feared I would never find the time or mojo to pen another word and on my long drives to the city for my two days of adulting I’d turned to podcasts for inspiration. Enter So You Want To Be A Writer... I listened to this purely by chance and now I have not only started writing again, I am doing so with a renewed motivation and belief that I may actually one day become a ‘Writer’ with a capital ‘W’. I love sharing my much needed ‘me time’ with Valerie and Al who give me the nudge I need every week to seize back my writing self, actually put finger to keyboard and just keep plunging forward- despite all the furore of young family life.

Funny, motivating, charming, relevant and a necessary complement to my writing week. Thank you!

The Motivators

I recently discovered this podcast, and found it pivotal in re-energising my writing efforts. Val and Al are knowledgeable, experienced and, perhaps most importantly, extremely likeable. The side-banter is so natural, yet they get down to business when it counts. Highly recommended!

The podcast for writer hands down

I applaud and thank you Val and Al for providing listeners with so much valuable information and in a genuinely warm and fun way. Your interview skills are outstanding and it is so so obvious how much you both love what you do, ensuring that ‘so you want to be a writer’ is a real pleasure to listen to every time. It’s very easy to binge listen to the podcast (yes, I do) or to revisit certain episodes again and again (yep). I have to add that elements of writing that might be learnt from formal writing courses might be learnt right here with you.
‘So you want to be a writer’ will provide many an aspiring author with the knowledge, and just as importantly, the inspiration to really work towards achieving their publication dreams. I LOVE this podcast! And so wonderful to have joined your closed Facebook group. I can’t wait to enrol in my next Australian Writers’ Centre course. Thank you!
