Southend Arts Cast is putting on their first-ever live event on December 3rd 2020. Here, Southend Arts Cast founder, Aria Marshall, is joined by Maddy Lahna of Pier-ing Back and LML Productions, to chat about the guests, the format and the nerve-wracking but exciting feeling of putting on a live event! 

TOMA stands for The Other Masters and is a different approach to mainstream education, which is based here in Southend. This episode features Blandine, Ruth and Peter, three students from TOMA, who talk about their goals, their lockdown projects and their inspirations. 

The super amazing, amusing theatre company Shoddy Theatre was formed in 2018, here in Southend. Mitch, one of the directors, spoke to us to give an optimistic view on lockdown and tell us how he and the company have been keeping busy.

We spoke with Josh Wilkin, one of the directors of Southend Fringe Festival, which sadly has to be cancelled in 2020, due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. He gives his lockdown top tips as well as an optimistic view for 2021. 

This week, we caught up with Alex Abineri, a technician at Southend's two theatres, The Cliffs Pavilion and Palace Theatre! He told us what his day to day life looks like now that lockdown has shut down the theatres. He also gives his opinions and insights on the reasons why theatres can't reopen anytime soon. 

This week, we speak to a Shakespeare enthusiast, Jonathan Buxton about what is important in the industry to him and also what he is doing during these unprecedented times.
