Episode 22: What you Didn't Know About Vaginal Health With Karen Saunders‪.‬ Talking Nutritionelly

    • Health & Fitness

Today I am speaking with the amazing Karen Saunders. A degree-qualified medical herbalist, nutritionist, and a yoga, meditation and mindfulness teacher. She specialises in the management of hormonal and digestive issues, such as PMS, PCOS, endometriosis, IBS, fatigue, fertility and burnout. She’s also quite comfortable discussing vagina and sexual health which is exactly why I wanted her on the show.

In this episode we explore the definition of optimal vaginal health, the importance of being in touch with the health of your vagina and the questions to ask if you suspect something might have gone awry. Karen explains some common signs for concern including a change in discharge, smell, itchiness, redness, unexplained bleeding, swelling or painful sex. Common conditions such as thrush or bacterial vaginosis (BV) can in many cases become chronic or resistant to treatment so for anyone who has or is experiencing that, or for any women just wanting to get to know their body better, please listen to this episode.
