    So You Want To Start A Girls Coding Club?

    In this episode I interview Velvet Holmes, a technology teacher from Oregon, WI school district where she shares her teaching strategies of how to get started with creating an after-school or weekend coding club with girls. She also provides a digital toolbox collection of coding tools and resources that you will want to tap into and try with your students tomorrow in your classroom.  And these are the questions she addressed: Question #1 - How did you start the coding club conversation with your students?  How did you get the buy in and importance of why you needed a girls coding club in your school?  What were your top three persuasive talking points? Question #2  What types of hands-on coding activities did you start with and why?
