63 Wycliffe Road is an ordinary house on a quiet South London street, but in 1956 it becomes famous as the site of an alleged poltergeist. The strange events focus around teenager Shirley Hitchings – but is it a haunting or hoax? Ghost hunter Harold Chibbett arrives to investigate. Intriguing, well researched but ruined for me by the casting of a child in the role of a 15 year old!!! Shirley sounds like a young girl, not a teenager. Considering 15 was almost marriage age in the 50’s.

Great story, excellent acting and fab sound design. One of the best audio dramas out there. Cleverly weaves real famous cases like the Enfield poltergeist into this fictional narrative.
